As the countdown to Earth Day (4/22) continues, I wanted to show you some products to help you Go Green on the Go from Macy’s!
This reusable drinking cup twin set not only cuts down on waste, but just may inspire you to drink more water. The polka-dotted set is $14.99. The cups are BPA free, top rack dishwasher safe and fit into most car drink holders. Get one for yourself and gift one to a friend.
This hot beverage set has a similar springtime vibe. It’s also $14.99. Or, you can go for a more neutral design.
Martha Stewart Living has a series of reusable food containers that can go in the freezer, the microwave and the top rack of your dishwasher! If you pack just one meal on the go instead of buying something on the fly, the money you save will cover the cost of the container.
Check out this breakfast bowl and lid ($6.99). It is perfect for packing a yogurt, granola and fruit parfait. You can keep the granola in a separate compartment so it can stay crunchy. Or, you can remove the insert and have one larger container. It also comes with a detachable spoon that clicks into its own place.
Think about how many sandwich bags you can save with this double-decker Lunch Cube ($5.99). It’s great for work, school or camp lunches and also a convenient case for a day at the beach or pool.
Now for my favorite — This salad case spares no detail ($8.99). It comes with a detachable fork and knife that click into its their own special place. There is even a mini container to hold your salad dressing. I picked up one for my husband and one for me. I have a feeling these salad cases will be a summer picnic staple. Here’s a snapshot of my lunch…
If you need to catch up on my other green posts from the week, here are the links. I found some great green products at Williams-Sonoma and The Body Shop. At Kokopelli, you’ll find a number of gift items made from repurposed materials.
