Plus, see hot summer styles from Banana Republic, BCBGMAXAZRIA, Francesca’s Collections and Lilly Pulitzer! Enjoy a mini fragrance ritual from L’Occitane featuring its new collection and try out a summer lip look from Bare Minerals!

We will do the drawing for the  $250 Shop Etc. Mall Gift Card and Styling Session toward the end of the event. If your name is drawn, you will need to be present in order to win.

Your drink voucher is good for any one drink from the Happy Hour menu. Choices include beer, select wines and a list of premium well drinks. For additional drinks, enjoy Happy Hour prices of $3-5 on any drinks selected from the Happy Hour menu.

An RSVP is required. The first 50 people to RSVP to me at towsontowncenterguru@gmail.com can attend. When you RSVP, be sure to include the first and last names of everyone in your party.  The event is for ages 21+.   Please be advised that space is limited to 50 guests.

Plus, 100 lucky participants will leave with a GIFT BAG! Stop by our information table and pick up a Style Passport.  The first 100 participants to have their Style Passports punched at each of the display tables will receive a gift bag to take home. While supplies last. One reward per person. Must be 18 or older to receive one.

Special Chick-fil-A Family Breakfast Event on 3/29!

Chick-fil-A invites you and the kids to a special breakfast event next Friday (3/29) at 9 am!

Enjoy breakfast with the Cows along with springtime crafts, activities and a “Bovine Blitz” scavenger hunt — complete with fun prizes — including plush cows, coupons and more!  All crafts and activities are FREE. All you need to pay for is breakfast.

Please rsvp to marketing@chickfilatowson.com with the family name and number of adults and children in your group to reserve your spots. You’re encouraged to rsvp as soon as you can, as reservations fill up fast. Slots are limited.

Baltimore County Public Schools are closed on 3/29, so be sure to bring along the big siblings too and include them in your family’s reservation.

Also, I wanted to remind you that there will not be a Family Fun Day on 3/29.

LUNCH DATE at The Cheesecake Factory!

The Cheesecake Factory is generously giving a special Valentine’s Day gift to 5 readers of this blog!

The first 5 lunch guests on Valentine’s Day to mention the GURU will get treated to a free appetizer or dessert.  If you’re looking to stay with the Valentine’s theme, consider the Ultimate Red Velvet Cheesecake as a possible dessert pick to share with your sweetie!

I sampled this decadent cake the other day. Starting from the top, it features White Chocolate Cheesecake with a white truffle frosting, then a layer of Red Velvet Cake, a layer of Original Cheesecake and one more layer of Red Velvet.

You can work your way through the meal to dessert or flip the order for Valentine’s Day fun and start with dessert!

I’m always up for selecting two entrees with my husband and sharing. Here are two fun options.

The Luau Salad, which is available as a dinner size portion or a smaller lunch one, is presented artistically with an airy Pagoda look.  The taste rivals the design! It features mixed greens along with grilled chicken, cucumbers, green onions, bell peppers, green beans, carrots, mango, macadamia nuts and sesame seeds along with layers of crisp wontons.  I’m definitely inspired to try adding more nuts to my salads at home. The Luau is tossed in a balsamic vinaigrette and drizzled with an Asian dressing.

I also tried the Cajun Jumbalaya Pasta for the first time! This substantial Louisiana inspired dish includes spicy shrimp and chicken sautéed with onion, tomatoes and peppers over linguini.

If you want to amp up the spice even more, just slide some of the cajun spices, dotting the rim of the dish, into your pasta.

The Cheesecake Factory does not take reservations.  So, here’s a GURU TIP:  The manager tells me that you’ll likely get seated the fastest if you come between 2 and 5 pm on weekdays. Perfect for a late Valentine’s Day lunch!

FIRE SAFETY BREAKFAST & MORE FUN

Parents and Grandparents —  You can treat your little ones to a DOUBLE FEATURE, all before lunchtime next Friday (1/25)!

Chick-fil-A invites you and the kiddos to a special Fire Safety Breakfast in the Food Court (Level 3)  from 9 to 10 am before Family Fun Day (Grand Court, Level 1) at 10 am.

At the event, you can purchase one Chick-fil-A Breakfast Meal and treat a friend or family member to a free one!

Firefighters from Towson Station One will lead a fire safety clinic, with a show-and-tell featuring some of the tools used to put out fires. Kids can dress up in child-sized firefighter uniforms. There will also be arts and crafts.

In order to attend this special breakfast, please rsvp to marketing@chickfilatowson.com with the family name and number of adults and children. Slots are limited and reservations fill up fast.

After the breakfast and activities, the Cows will escort everyone down to the Grand Court on Level 1 for  Family Fun Day.

Family Fun Day takes place on Friday mornings at 10 am.  The events are FREE and geared toward pre-school age children.

Breakfast with Chick-fil-A’s SANTA COW and friends!

Treat your little ones to a DOUBLE FEATURE on Friday, 12/14, with a special BREAKFAST with the SANTA COW at Chick-fil-A from 9 to 10 am. Then, head down to Family Fun Day in the Grand Court (level 1)!
At the Breakfast with the Santa Cow event, purchase one full-price Chick-fil-A Breakfast Meal and treat a friend or family member to a breakfast meal for FREE!  Take pictures with Santa Cow and Elf Cow and enjoy making gingerbread houses and other holiday crafts.
Reservations are required for this event and slots fill up fast! To make a reservation, please email marketing@chickfilatowson.com by Monday, 12/10, with your family name and number of adults and children in your party. Please be sure to also include the ages of the children.

Munchies and More from Harry & David!

Searching for last minute munchies to serve or to bring to someone else’s home?

I can just about promise that you won’t leave Harry & David (Level 3) empty handed.

At first, I thought this canister was just for storage. Turns out — it keeps your dips and spreads cool. There is a chamber at the top of the Dip Chiller to hold your appetizer. Then, you can keep ice at the bottom. The canister can also pull double duty as a miniature ice holder for drinks.

All you have to do is add some cream cheese to these relishes, and you have a delicious dip.  Choose from Pepper and Onion, Charred Pineapple, Pepper and Onion with Orange as well as other flavors.
