Hello! So, a little about me. I’m a Towson mom and let’s just say — no stranger to the mall. I juggle being home with two kids and a gigantic St. Bernard pup while doing doing freelance writing, marketing projects and occasional video projects. I’ve spent the last five-plus years mainly writing about children’s products and trends for a local parenting magazine. I also have a TV news background as a reporter and producer.
I love scoping out great deals! Anyone who knows me, knows I always have a story behind every purchase. Remember, GURU stands for Get Ultimate Retail Updates and that’s exactly what I will be offering! Plus, I’ll help find exactly what you’re looking for for, no matter the style or trend you’re after. I’ll help you navigate Towson Town Center like a pro, so you never have to waste time OR money!

Is this blog only going to be around for the holiday season or is it going to be a permanent thing? I hope it’s permanent!
Elizabeth,
Thank you. Right now it’s set to run through the holiday season and possibly beyond. Please stay tuned.

Hi Rebecca- Since you are the TTCenter expert I thought I would ask you so I can make a quick purchase on my lunch break. Do you know where I can find L’Occitane hand cream in the mall? Also do you know of any other stores in the mall that sell a nice thick hand cream, besides the usual Body Shop and Bath and Body works? Thanks!
Hi Courtnay,
I will search for the hand cream you mentioned. I just bought the hand relief cream at Aveda and have been using it for about 10 days. It’s the first one that has really worked for me. Thanks for writing.

Rebecca
Courtnay,
I just put in a call to Sephora. Sephora carried L’Occitane hand cream. They have it in a variety of sizes – a travel size for $10, the full size for $26 (5.2 oz) and a 2.6 oz lavender version for $20. You can also get a 3 pack of travel size ones in 3 different fragrances for $26. The salesperson told me that they have plenty in stock. I may have to go and sample it myself.

Hey Rebecca! I am a bit perplexed… I have a wedding to attend in Stow, Vermont in February and I know I don’t have any cold weather dresses to wear. I was wondering what you might recommend to wear to a winter wedding? I wasn’t sure if nice dress pants and a nice/wintery sweater would be dressy enough, or if you might have a couple ideas of more cold weather dresses. I don’t have a lot of preferences in terms of colors or such, but (as a caveat) I am slightly allergic to wool. Any ideas?
Jessi,
I would love to help you out. I will pick out a couple of options over the next week and will be back in touch. Thank you for reaching out.
Best,
Rebecca
I would love to see Some post about Bath and Body Works. They had some great sales this weekend.
Thanks for the tip. I will check it out.

Just got a great deal @ Eddie Bauer! The majority of the store is 50% off!
Thanks for the heads up!-Rebecca
I thought I heard something you said on WBAL about the month of March receiving $’s at Customer Service for $75 spent at the mall?
I can’t find anything on your website about it though.
Dawn,
Here is a link to a blog post that has the info on the gift with purchase: http://towsontowncenterguru.com/2012/02/29/a-month-of-cravings-savings-including-an-enter-to-win-500-mall-gift-card/

What were the details about the gold dress showcased on your segment on WBAL 11 news on Sat. Dec8th? I believe it was the first one modeled during the segment, it had 3/4 sleeves and a ruffle hem. Thank you very much!
Hi Christine,
It’s a great dress! It’s from Lilly Pulitzer. It looks great belted or without. You can dress it up with heels or down with the flat boots, as our model showcased. Hope that helps! -Rebecca
This is one of the best blog’s I have ever seen!
Thanks… let me know if you ever need fashion advice! -Rebecca
