This week’s GURU Style Star pairs a cropped, fitted denim jacket with purple skinnies. The fringe detail on Trina’s sandals repeats itself on her caramel bag from H&M. Trina’s jacket and her black long sleeve tee are both from XXI Forever.
Trina, a caregiver for the elderly, hit the mall to do some shopping for herself and for her 9-year-old daughter.

How would you describe your style?
Eclectic! I just throw things together.
What trend are you excited about for fall?
Leather pants. I think they are just so chic. Anything leather — jackets, pants. I’m into leather.
What is the most challenging thing about deciding what to wear?
What to wear for the day needs to be comfortable. I do a lot of running around. I don’t have a lot of time to dress up, but I still want to look cute.
When you want to feel like a million bucks, what do you wear?
Heels and a dress — a little black dress.

Nicole Richie.
