Fall has always felt like a magical time of year to me. I feel like a little kid all over again when it comes to enjoying all things fall — the shiny new school supplies, the changing leaves, the first chills in the air…
I wonder if that’s why I turned to “fall” colors when decorating my home — rich reds, yellows and browns. My office is painted pumpkin orange.
When I walked into Sur La Table (Level 2) the other day, I couldn’t help but notice the flavors of fall — when it comes to tableware and food!
Here are a few ideas that would make for great fall time hostess gifts or to use to add some seasonal touches when you’re entertaining at your home.
Here is a closer look at the stoneware ramekins and baking dishes pictured above. Both feature a leaf and acorn design around the inner rim and can be used from oven to table. The ramekins are perfect for holding warm fall dips.
The Tuscan Leaves Oval platter pulls in all the fall colors and makes for a memorable hostess gift or a warm centerpiece to your table.
These owl mugs are adorable. For a gift, I would add some gourmet coffee, tea or hot cocoa.
It may be too soon to light the fireplace, but candles always add instant warmth to a home.
These Autumn Paisley Napkins come in three colors. Try one hue or mix them together to add a whimsical touch to your table. The pattern is also available as a table runner.
Now, on to the food. Seeing the fall themed pancake, waffle and doughnut mixes may just inspire me to throw a fall brunch. Sur La Table carries both apple cider and pumpkin flavored doughnut mixes along with a special doughnut hole pan. Fun for the kids and kids at heart!
There is something extra enticing to me about sweets in miniature. Sur La Table also has a pan you can use to make waffle dippers. If you’re making dippers to bring to someone else’s home, the pan would be the perfect gift so your guests can enjoy them again! To continue with the fall theme, go for the pumpkin pancake & waffle mix!
Have you been to Sur La Table? If you could receive any of the items I featured as a gift, which one would you pick? I’m torn between the pumpkin mix and waffle dipper pan (I guess that’s two gifts) and the sweet owl mugs!
