Have you been to the recently opened L’Occitane En Provence store in the Crate & Barrel Wing?
L’Occitane’s skincare and body care products are known for their ability to soothe the skin, to bring the kind of results that make it look like someone turned back time and for their natural Mediterranean ingredients.
Since I had never been to L’Occitane before it opened at Towson Town Center, I asked store manager, Anne Jackson, to show me some of the many ways you can pamper and protect your skin. Read on for all the details and learn about some special promotions!
L’Occitane’s SHEA HAND CREAM is sold every 3 seconds worldwide! Shea butter helps to protect and nourish the skin. This neutral fragrance cream is also packed with honey, almond extract and coconut butter. It can help return smoothness to dry, cracked skin. $10 for 1 oz, $28 for 5 oz.
Anne swears by the DIVINE CREAM, the company’s top selling face cream, known for its anti-aging, firming and smoothing properties. The Beauty Bible, a British publication named it the “best anti-aging miracle cream.” “Facial contours are lifted and redefined, and wrinkles are smoothed for beautiful skin that is visibly firmer, brighter and younger-looking,” reads the product description.
Organic essential oils are among the ingredients, including the Immortelle flower, used for its anti-wrinkle properties. And get this — The Immortelle flower, which is part of the sunflower family, holds its form and color when dried.
Anne points out that since it takes our skin cells an average of 21 to 28 days to renew, it takes about that amount of time to see results. It runs $98 for 1.7 oz. Anne emphasizes that a little goes a long way and says the cream should last about three months. The Divine Cream is part of the Immortelle collection.
Anne’s next pick is the IMMORTELLE BRIGHTENING CLEANSING FOAM, also from the Immortelle line. Just like in the Divine Cream, the Immortelle flower plays a starring role. The foam includes organic Immortelle floral water, which also leaves behind its fragrance. According to L’Occitane, “Clinical testing of this product over three weeks showed an improvement in the evenness of skin tone and radiance of the complexion. For best results, pair with other elements of our full anti-aging Immortelle collection.”
The foam is $26 for 5.1 oz. Here’s a GURU tip: When you run out of this foam, be sure to buy the refill pack instead of a new bottle. It’s not only environmentally friendly, but also kind to your wallet. The refill pack $38 for 10.1 oz.
Along with products carried year-round, you’ll also find special, limited time products. Right now, L’Occitane is featuring ROSE DES CHAMPS PEARLIZED HAND CREAM ($10 for a travel size). It has a wild rose fragrance. Anne describes the scent as having a top note of lemon and pear, a main note of wild roses with a base note of cedar and a tonka beans to make the fragrance long lasting. In Provence, you’ll find fields of wild roses at this time of year.
For a limited time, Rose Des Champs line also includes an eau de toilette, body lotion, hand cream and a solid perfume charm for just $12
Through 8/21, if you spend $60 or more at L’Occitane, you’ll receive a free FULL SIZE shower gel. Choose from a Flower Market range product in lavender, verbena, rose, peony or cherry blossom.
