I think just about all of my favorite colors made it into the pattern on this week’s GURU Style Star’s single-shoulder, printed dress.
Courtney Greenholt found her dress for a steal last year at XXI Forever (Levels 1 & 2), and I bet it will still be a head-turner of a dress next summer too. The tie-waist mini features a splatter of bright colors. The pattern is a perfect backdrop for her sunburst pendant. Courtney completed her look with a great pair of gladiators from Bakers (Level 3) — which she says are surprisingly versatile and go with more colors than you may think. She also works there. Her bangles are from XXI Forever.

It changes daily. Whatever I like, I wear. I like anything bright, patterns… I’m really into the colored skinny jeans now too. I feel they can dress up any outfit.

Probably at BCBGMAXAZRIA…Courtney tells me she hit the store when there was an extra 20% off sale items that were already 60% off.
I keep an eye on things. Coupons help a lot. Bebe has awesome coupons. Bakers often has Buy 1, Get 1 half price on their shoes.
I like the off the shoulder sweater tops, the longer tunics that you can put with leggings or skinnies. I can also put my nude pumps into action, becuase they look good with everything for fall and winter. I feel like with nude pumps you can put them with anything – dark colors, something classy , something fun.
Since Courtney works at Bakers, I just had to pump her for information on shoe buying strategies. I asked her what she would advise if someone wants to buy 2 key pairs. Courtney reports that she would first ask about the person’s style. She believes it’s always good to have a classic pair of pumps — something black or nude — and then a pair of statement shoes.
