Could your hair use a mid-summer pick-me-up after all the sun, chlorine and salt?
Is your hair feeling dry? Are you experiencing breakage?
I have solutions.
I found a host of products at Aveda (Level 4) that are all about protecting and repairing your tresses.
If your hair is damaged, these Damage Remedy products can pack a powerful punch! They include the Damage Remedy Restructuring Shampoo, Restructuring Conditioner, Intensive Restructuring Treatment and a Daily Hair Repair.
According to Aveda, the Damage Remedy shampoo and conditioner can help “hair weakened by chemical processes, heat styling and environmental exposure.” Quinoa protein, in both the shampoo and coordinating conditioner, helps to strengthen and repair. The conditioning formula is all about bringing moisture back to the hair along with silkiness and shine.
The Damage Remedy Daily Hair Repair is a special leave-in treatment that is designed to bring fast results. It can help protect your hair year-round from heat styling and fight tangles too. The more intensive weekly treatment masque, with plant oils and quinoa protein, helps repair and lock in moisture.
Any of the Damage Remedy products are available to sample before purchase, with the exception of the masque.
I learned about another product at Aveda that can be used in your hair and on your body to strip away chlorine, salt and build-up from other products, while adding moisture back at the same time. With its subtle tropical aroma, the Sun Care Hair and Body Cleanser is perfect to pack for a beach getaway.
The Sun Care After-Sun Hair Masque is full of powerful anti-oxidents including green tea extract, vitamin E and organic sunflower seed oil along with such moisturizing ingredients as organic shea butter, coconut and palm oils.
I’m a big proponent of taking proactive steps against sun damage. Check out the Sun Care Protective Hair Veil. This is on my must-try wish list. Spray this mist on your hair and you can help protect it from sun exposure for up to 16 hours. If you color your hair, it can also help slow the fading process that speeds up when out in the sun.
Coming up tomorrow, I’ll have tips on how to keep your d-i-y mani & pedi looking great longer this summer!
