You have to “heart” what’s on your sole!
You’ll find the latest sneaker styles and technologies in the Nordstrom BP Shoe Department (Level 2).
Here are just a few standouts!
The Nike ‘Free Run 4.0 V2′ Running shoe ($90) is lightweight, has a flexible sole and is incredibly versatile! Not to mention — you’ll find fun pops of color! Manager Ivoree Young tells me that this running shoe can also be used for power walking, Zumba or any other kind of training. She points out that the flexible soles makes them good for dance.
If you are doing 5-10 mile runs or longer or just want more support, Ivoree suggests looking at the ASCICS ‘Gel-Kayano 18′ Running Shoe ($144.95). She says they have great heel support along with a gel cushion sole.
Here’s another option if you’re looking for supportive shoes with a lot of cushioning that can take you the distance. The Nike ‘Air Max 2012′ Running Shoe ($170) comes in lots of colors. It can also be used for power walking and on fitness equipment.
There is also a special ‘Live Armstrong’ version of the ‘Air Max’ sneaker, accented in aqua for $175. A portion of the purchase goes to the Lance Armstrong Foundation.
The New Balance ’2012 Minimus’ Running Shoe ($99.95), available in black and hot pink, is recommended for advanced runners. Ivory explains that these “barefoot feel’ shoes do not give as much support as your typical running shoe, and that you’ll have to work harder while wearing them. She suggests them as an option for a seasoned runner looking for a challenge.
The ‘LunarFly+ 3 Breathe’ Running Shoe ($85) is a lightweight running shoe that is good for someone with a narrow heel. Ivory says this shoe can be used in multiple kinds of workouts, including power walking, running and on fitness equipment.
There are many more choices available. I’ve made the mistake in the past of choosing my sneakers based just on the color. It’s important to make sure that the sneakers are designed to handle the kind of workouts that you like to do.
Has anyone tried any of these shoes? I would love to hear your thoughts!

I love the first style! I’m not big on sneakers but I would wear those
