Are you in need of some motivation on the fitness front? How about a post workout massage? I found some great gadgets and even a compact piece of exercise equipment at Brookstone (Level 3).
This first gadget is tiny and can make a tremendous impact! Meet the Fitbit Ultra Wireless Fitness Tracker ($99.95). As you wear the high-tech Fitbit, its 3D motion sensor tracks your steps taken and calories burned. Fitbit also tracks your sleep and clips on to a wristband for you to wear while sleeping.
Now for the amazing part. You can use fitbit.com to privately track your progress. You can either plug in the Fitbit via USB port or wirelessly upload your data onto your phone or computer.
There is also a Fitbit Aria Scale ($129.95). Just like the Fitbit, this “smart” scale can also wirelessly update your computer or phone with your stats including weight and percent of body fat. From there, the Fitbit website will give you your body mass index. You can use the scale in conjunction with the Fitbit or individually.
When I think about home exercise equipment, big and bulky machines come to mind. This little stepper barely takes up any space. It’s called the BodyForm Cardio Fitness Stepper ($99.99). According to Brookstone, the “twin resistance cords tone your upper body, while the swiveling stepper platform tightens inner thighs and hips.” A small screen shows you how many steps you’ve taken, how long you’ve worked out and the calories burned.
Give yourself a post workout treat or even loosen up your muscles beforehand with the Active Sport Handheld Massager ($69.99). It comes with three interchangeable heads, allowing you to decide whether you want to zone in on one spot or cover a wider area.
What fitness gadgets do you use? If you could try any of the products here, which one would you pick?
Coming up tomorrow, we’re going sneaker shopping at Nordstrom!
