Sephora (level 2) is hosting a special event with stylists from Bumble and bumble on Friday (3/30) from 12 -6 pm. The session involves a dry style (no up dos or cutting). No purchase necessary.

You even get a gift to take with you! After your session, you’ll receive a sample of Bumble and bumble Thickening Hairspray and a coupon for a complimentary blow out, redeemable at a local Bumble and bumble partner salon.

You can either call ahead for an appointment or drop by during the event. The number is (410) 337-7494. If you are planning to visit the store during your lunch break or if you are in a time crunch, it is suggested that you do make an appointment. Drop-ins will be seen on a first come, first serve basis. Space is limited.
A Bumble and bumble representative will also be on hand to talk to you about your hair routine and offer suggestions on what products may work best with your hair type and needs.
Bumble and bumble’s latest launch is the CONCEN-Straight Smoothing Treatment ($45), a one-time use treatment, specially formulated to give you smooth, straight hair for up to 30 washes.

Sephora’s managers, Rachel Gonzalez and Vicki Horton, explain that this home treatment achieves a similar outcome to salon ones, but is less permanent. They add that it’s gentle on your hair.
I sampled some other products from the CONCEN-Straight line, including the shampoo, conditioner and the heat activated Straight Blow Dry balm and am hooked! My hair responded well to this trio, with a smooth look and fewer fly-aways than usual. I have a feeling I’ll switch to this trio when my current bottles run out. I may not be able to wait that long…
The next product I’m going to show you is one I would have honestly never thought to try. Bumble and bumble’s Surf Spray ($24 for 4 oz) is designed to give hair that “I just left the beach look.” This salt infused styling spray can add fullness and/or wave, enhancing the natural texture of your hair.

It can be used on damp or dry hair. I tried the Surf Spray the other morning and was surprised that I didn’t need to blow dry my hair. Sure enough, it added some wave to my straight hair. I even had one person stop me and say how great my hair looked.
A little of the spray goes a long way. It left my hair feeling soft and not crunchy. If you have curly hair, this product can also enhance your curl. There is also a Curl Conscious product line.
Another popular Bumble and bumble product is the non-aerosole Thickening Hairspray ($27 for 8oz or $9 for 2 oz travel size). You can use some before you dry your hair and add a few more spritzes to finish your style after drying. It’s designed to add volume and to hold your style. Just like the other products I tried, it performed well!
