SAVINGS TIPS: The Inside Scoop! Plus, enter-to-win a $50 Shop Etc. Mall Gift Card

20 Mar

I have the inside scoop for you on ways you can save at some of your favorite stores!

Taking just a moment to sign up for store emails can translate to MAJOR savings and can make would-be splurges become budget friendly.

Another reason to be sure to get on store email lists —  some stores have promotions where if you spend a certain amount during a designated time period,  you can earn special savings t0 use on future purchases.   I recently took advantage of a great promotion like this at New York & Company.

So, what are your savings strategies?

Tell me what you do to save and get entered into the  GURU SHARE YOUR SAVINGS SWEEPSTAKES.  All you need to do is post something about what you do to save money when shopping at the mall in the comment section of any of this week’s posts (3/19 – 3/25). You’ll be entered to win a $50 Shop Etc. Mall Gift Card.  One entry per person.

No purchase necessary. Must be 18 or older and a legal U.S. resident. Deadline for entry: 3/25 at midnight EST.  The winner will be selected in a random drawing on or about two days after the close of the promotional period. Here are the official rules.

I like to wait for sales that can combine with coupons. I get 20% off coupons for Gymboree and use these when they are having store wide sales.

Love when you stack sales & coupons!
      Thanks for writing!

in addition to using coupons with sales when allowed, I like to shop clearance items and get them in bigger sizes for the kids and grandkids. I end up saving a ton of money and it keeps me from having to get the swimsuit or winter jacket at the beginning of the season and having to pay full price for it.

I will shop only in the sale section of my favorite stores and look for coupons online to use in stores.

I use various websites to print coupons, then monitor the sales in the store sometimes use them in combination with store promotion. I sign-up for the birthday clubs with all my favorite stores at the mall.

I don’t carry cash. I know that some people say you’ll spend more using a credit card but for some reason I am the exact opposite. I really think things through before I charge on my card (which I pay off each month), whether it’s clothing or going out in the middle of the work day to get something to eat. I do make sure to check for online coupons from the stores that I plan to visit.
