Expanded “SkinnyLicious” Choices & Splurges at The Cheesecake Factory!

14 Mar

“SkinnyLicious.” I admit it’s not the first word that comes to mind when I think of The Cheesecake Factory.

I didn’t know until this week that the restaurant offers a special SkinnyLicious menu! Even better, this menu, which launched in the last year, just experienced a growth spurt with expanded offerings!

Every entree on the SkinnyLicious menu has less than 590 calories. Appetizers are all under 490 calories.

So, here’s the skinny on some of the newest items and the ones that have been hits since the menu debuted!

The Roasted Pear and Blue Cheese Flatbread, which launched with the SkinnyLicious menu, makes for a great starter to share. The pear and blue cheese are joined by even more flavor — thanks to the arugula, pecans and caramelized onions. This flatbread delights all the senses as  sweet, savory, and bitter flavors play together with some crunch added into the mix.  Hard to believe this is SkinnyLicious!

The restaurant just released its Santorini Farro Salad this month.  This SkinnyLicious pick has Farro, which is a grain with a similar taste to brown rice, beets, tomatoes, cucumbers, feta, Tzatziki and is topped with a balsamic dressing. The result makes for a gorgeous plate!

The SkinnyLicious Pasta is another new menu addition. It comes with germelli pasta, chicken, fresh tomato, basil oil and marinara.

If  you love sweet and savory flavors combined, try the Island Grilled Chicken, served over a bed of rice. It  comes with sides of grilled pineapple and broccolini. It also has a spicy flair.

The Chicken Lettuce Wrap Tacos are another SkinnyLicious hit! I tried the Asian one, which comes with a Thai Peanut sauce served over a blend of chicken, carrots, bean sprouts, cucumber, cilantro and marinated rice noodles. It also comes with Tamarind cashew and sweet red chile dipping sauces.

I was excited to learn that you can even purchase a pint of the Tamarind cashew sauce to take home. It turns out that this option is available with any dressing. Just ask your server.

The SkinnyLicious menu even has cocktails for 150 calories or less.  I tried the Skinny Sangria. It’s light and refreshing.

On the regular menu, you’ll also find more new choices, including the Fresh Kale Salad, which features kale, frisée lettuce, radicchio, dried cranberries, almonds and green beans with a buttermilk black pepper dressing.

The Cheesecake Factory hosts Happy Hour Monday-Friday from 4-6 pm and has select drinks and appetizers for just $5.

Now, we can’t talk about The Cheesecake Factory without mentioning the CHEESECAKE!

The Fresh Strawberry one claims the title of being the most popular flavor for 30 years!

I have to show you the Tuxedo Creme one. It includes decadent layers of cake, cheesecake, mousse and a ganache on top.  Love the marshmallow and chocolate swirl on the plate.

And that’s just a small taste of what you’ll find at the restaurant, where there are more than 300 items on the menu!

I crave any and all the delicious Happy Hour Menus at the mall. So far, my favorite is the martini at Bahama Breeze!

Went on Thursday and REALLY enjoyed the Chicken Lettuce Wraps as an appetizer, a skinny Mojito and finished off with the Island Grilled Chicken as an entree. The portions were enormous, had to take to go!!! They definitely won my vote on their new menu!!

Reblogged this on The Towson Town Center Guru and commented:

    Hello everyone!
If you’re planning to head to Towson Town Center this weekend, pop into The Cheesecake Factory for a LOW-CALORIE bite to eat! That’s right, low-calorie at Cheesecake Factory. Their new Skinnylicious menu items are quite a hit and I’ve had several people ask me about them. So I thought I would share the post I did last month in case you missed it. Really, you have to try them. I was really impressed. Also, be sure to watch FOX45 Morning News on Monday Morning at 8:15 and 9:15. I’ll be sharing mu picks for the best dresses for grads and prom! Have a great weekend and I will see you next week!

Is that entire flatbread under 490 cals? I hope so!
