The starring characters in my cast of shoes include at least a half-dozen pairs of black tall boots, along with black heels, black flats, black sneakers, black sandals, a few lone brown pairs, you get the idea…
A few colors have rotated in and out over the years. Hot pink sometime in the late ’90s to match a since retired go-to dress. Red platform sandals made a brief appearance circa 2002. I picked up some raspberry flats a couple years ago and have worn them about that many times. My metallic sandals are about as adventurous as I’ve gotten in the last year.
With all the colors out for this spring, it’s tempting to try them all. I’m feeling inspired to break out and wear something different.
I love that colors practically feel like the new neutral. Take a look at some of the happy hues out there.

I can’t decide which shade to try first. Cobalt seems to be calling, but I could be swayed into trying something pink.
Has anyone ventured out into bright hued shoes?
